Who We Are:
Two Terabyte Studios was formed in late summer 2016 with the intent to create the first game development club at Monta Vista High School. Although we failed at achieving school club status due to an incompetent club approval process (cough cough), we thrived as a community organization run completely by and for Monta Vista students. So far, we have created five games as a club, one of which has been officially published and another which is currently in alpha status.
We have committed to our goal of educating the community in game development through real production by producing our own games from start to finish. Over our two years of operation, we have had over 30 current and past members, over 10 of whom create our core game development team. We have our own artists, programmers, animators, designers, writers, and managers, and try our best to avoid premade assets as much as possible. While our preferred development engine is Unity, we are always open to experimentation, and have tested development through other popular engines such as Unreal Engine and Lumberyard.
Our goal for this year and beyond is to shorten our development cycle to push out new games as quickly and efficiently as possible while preserving quality to the furthest extent.
If you are interested in joining 2TBS, we're always recruiting! Email us or come every Tuesday at lunch to room A201 to meet us in person! We hold weekly meetings where we discuss our latest game ideas, development strategies, and meeting times.
